Customer-Oriented Projects 1Laajuus (5 cr)

Objective

The object of the course is that the students apply the things they have learned in working life problems, deepen their knowledge and get new knowledge through customer-oriented practical projects. During the course, the students implement different types of projects mainly related to the development or utilization of information systems. Also other types of development tasks related to the different fields of (business) operations are possible (e.g. marketing, data acquisition and analysis). The contact lessons can be implemented as seminars or in small groups, in which case the students get acquainted with the subjects and present the results collaboratively.

Content

The main contents include understanding the customer requirements, solution-based ideation, specifying and producing the project output, organizing their own work and the whole customer project and reporting the output in a in a suitable way to the project.

Qualifications

Basics of business operations, WWW application development studies, basic use of utility software,project knowledge.
