Objective
The students understand the structures of the control system, are able to perform control circuit analysis and tuning so that good results can be achieved in practice with regard to the main quality variables of production. They are able to design and tune process controls in cases of interference, delay or nonlinearity, and to implement regenerative controls and multiple variable controls.
Content
The structures and properties of control circuits using MATLB/SIMULINK modelling and simulation software. The main contents include the modelling of a dynamic system, control methods, measuring and optimization of control performance. Theory is applied through simulations and in the real processes of laboratories.
Qualifications
Professional mathematics
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Very good (4-5): The student has acquired the knowledge and skills covered by the course and can independently design control system solutions for the needs of the industry.
Good (3): The student masters the most important learning objectives of the course and is able to tune controls and is also familiar with control systems.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student is familiar with the basics of the course and understands the operating principles of a control system.
The assessment is based on exams and assignments.
