Objective

The students achieve sufficient technical skills and repertoire in their instruments in order to be able to work in musical tasks commensurate to their study orientation

Main instrument's central repertoire and ensemble repertoire practice and performance
Participation in group lessons
Familiarization with own and other instruments' repertoire

praiseworthy 5 The performance comes across as a convincing whole. The goal is achieved through an excellent command of technique and musical style. The performance shows musical and expressive strengths and artistic maturity. The musical communication and presentation are touching.

good 4 Secure whole. Basic technical aspects are under control and the goal intended has been achieved. Expression is many-sided, representing well diverse styles and musical atmospheres and character. The performer makes contact with the audience. Something is missing as far as total expressiveness is concerned.

good 3 Functioning whole: basic aspects are in general under control. There is room for technical and expressive development, which as stands occasionally disturbs the interpretation. Musical styles and characters come through. Contact with the audience is for the most part established.

satisfactory 2 There are deficiencies in overall view and technical skills. The performance remains at the level of a task carried out.

passable 1 Modest overall view and technical control. There are general deficiencies in all aspects.

failed 0 Uncontrolled performance. There is inability to outline musical wholes. The technical level is insufficient. The set goals are not achieved.
The students receive oral an written feedback in their examinations.
Acceptance on the basis of documents presented of performance equivalent to examination is possible in special cases. Grade S
