Objective
Students are prepared to develop a livestock producing enterprise and critically estimate its operation. Students understand the entrepreneurial risks and opportunities. Students are familiar with the basics of care and management of various species and are also able to plan the production environment taking into account the needs of animals as well as other factors.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Student with basic skills 1-2:
Familiar with animal husbandry environment. Able to carry out animal feeding and care taking into account the needs of the animal. Are familiar with the impact of safety on animal husbandry. Are broadly familiar with the laws of profitability.
Developing learner 3-4:
Familiar with animal husbandry environment and the factors affecting it. Able to plan and carry out animal feeding and care, taking into account the needs of the animal and requisites of the environment. Are familiar with the effects of safety on animal husbandry and know how to develop them. Are familiar with the factors affecting the profitability and is able to evaluate them.
Expert performer 5:
Familiar with the animal husbandry environment and able to evaluate the factors affecting it and to understand the importance of development measures. Able to plan and carry out animal feeding and care taking into account the needs of the animal. Able to evaluate the environmental impact of livestock farming. Able to plan and evaluate the safety-related factors in animal husbandry. Manages the planning and execution of production. Understands the importance of quality in livestock farming.
