Objective
The students can identify and compare the risks, properties, advantages and benefits of plant production machines, buildings and cultivation methods within the various cultivation systems. They can use these as arguments in business situations. They can create technology investment plans in groups, e.g. mechanization plans.
Content
Argumentation, technology investment plan, comparison, time-related costs, weather etc. risks, the tax effects of investment, the rationality of investment, service and maintenance, sustainability, machine change, driers and other plant production buildings, machines, subsurface drains. The students can focus their assignment through topic choice according to their career plan and personal study plan.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Inexperienced performer
Is capable of argumentation for a plant production machine. Can plan technology investment options for an expanding plant production farm which is changing its production; can compare and select the most suitable option for the farm. Is also able to plan the timing of investments. Can highlight his/her own views in group presentations and working.
Developing performer
Is able to create a technology investment plan for a plant production farm, demonstrating a holistic approach to planning. The holistic approach is assessed based on how comprehensively different issues are presented, how their significances are emphasized, how well their interaction and risks are taken into consideration. Can help a classmate in the group.
Competent performer
Essentially understands and can take into account the impacts of the simplification of the learned models and theories on plans related to plant production technology investments. Can also look for unconventional and future-oriented technological solutions. Can advice unknown bailiffs/farmers on the development of plant production technology.
