Objective

The students know the objectives and means of strategic and operational management in a company. They can apply different methods to the planning of business operations and to financial management. They can perform and interpret calculations related to profit margin, costs, pricing and financing, as well as investment profitability calculations, risk analyses, business indicator analyses, and budgeting. They can plan and monitor a company’s finances using the profit margin method, the cash flow method and linear programming. They can plan financing for a company and make a business plan. They know the basics of production theory.

Strategic and operational management in a company, business indicator analysis and management, total quality management, budgeting, calculations related to profit margin, costs, pricing and financing, planning investments and financing; planning the overall finances of a company with the profit margin method, the cash flow method and linear programming; business plan, production theory

Qualifications

The students know company forms and the procedures related to the launching of business. They master bookkeeping in a company and other entrepreneur’s duties.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Inexperienced performer 1-2
The student can make profitability calculations and an overall plan for a company’s finances with given planning methods and initial data. They have a basic knowledge of business management.
Developing performer 3-4
The student can independently make reliable, holistic and viable calculations and plans with different methods to support company decision-making. He/she can apply managerial competence to varying decision-making situations.
Competent performer 5
The student can creatively apply different problem-solving methods in a dynamic business environment and critically evaluate the impact of development measures on company economy.
