Objective

Students understand the structure of the Locomotive System and the effects of the Nervous System to the locomotion and movement skills. Students can apply the knowledge of locomotion to understand the perception of the movements. Students can evaluate the functions of joints and muscles during different movements as well as the function of the Peripherial Nervous System during locomotion. Students are able to evaluate the meaning of Homeostasis and understand how it is obtained in different situations.

Content

Anatomy of the bones, joints and muscles from different body parts: spine, thorax, head, pelvis, upper extremity and lower extremity. Anatomy and Physiology of the Somatic & Autonomic Nervous System related to locomotion and homeostasis of the Respiratory, Circulatory & Fluid balance systems.

Qualifications

Students understand the Terminology, Organization of the human body as well as the Maintenance- and Control systems.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students show the skills in accordance with the objective of the course in the exams of the course. Exams will be evaluated acording the points.5 = exellent - 90% of the answers are correct, 4 = very good - 80 % of the answers are correct, 3 = good - 70 % of the answers are correct and 1 - 2 = satisfactory 50-70 % of the answers are correct. 0 = failed less than 50 % of the answers are correct.
