Objective

The student understands and accepts the changes of aging and can perceive them in his own work.
The student has a postive attitude for aging.
The student promotes accessibility and gerontechnological solutions in his working environment and perceives the needs of special groups.

Gerontechnology as science.
Senior citizens and the environment.
User centered design.
The case of the modern design.
Smart home.
Senior citizens and robotics.
Dementia and technology.

Qualifications

The student will know social-, healthcare services and principles of ethics and law regulation. She understands well being, health care services and the meaning of functional ability promotion.This happens in individual, family and society level. The student knows basics of the complicity and assesment and promotion of functional ability.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5) The student demonstrates an extremely broad knowledge in gerontechnology and is able to do innovative solutions. The student is developable and also critical to gerontechnology.

Very good (4) The student demonstrates a broad knowledge of gerontechnology.The student is developable to gerontechnology.

Good (3) The student demonstrates good knowledge and skills in gerontechnology.

Satisfactory (2) The student demonstrates basic knowledge in gerontechnology.

Below average (1) The student demonstrates superficial knowledge in gerontechnology.
