Objective
The students are able, on justifiable grounds and in view of efficiency and economy, to define the dimensioning and structural requirements of optimal transport equipment and necessary auxiliary and additional equipment for a given transportation assignment.

Qualifications
The students understand the basic principles of mechanics and the behaviour and properties of the most common construction materials and are able to analyse mechanical systems. They also know the operating principles of the general road transportation systems and the possibilities and methods for a company to utilize them.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
o Excellent (5): The student understands the theoretical grounds and is able to apply theory to small-scale practical cases.
o Good – Very Good (3-4): The student is able to apply basic knowledge to solve simple problems.
o Sufficient – Satisfactory (1-2: The student is only able to apply basic knowledge in model situations.
