Objective
After the course student understands the potential and possibilities of modelling used in structural designing through construction process.
Student is able to make a model of building made of pre-fabricated parts and basic joints (steel and concrete).
Student can make basic printouts from model.
Student knows how to take out quantities from model.
Student knows the principle of phases and binding to timetable.
Content
The basics of modelling with BIM software. Software used in this course is Tekla Structures.
Software environment and basic commands.
Reinforced concrete elements and steel structures and their joints.
The use of Custom Components and macros.
