Objective

The student knows the common field devices and basics in placing, installation, documentation and hookup materials of those devices. The student can choose and define field devices into basic processes.

TSASO- Design competence
The student is able to dimension and select machines and components using techno-economic principles.

EA-EE- Engineering design
The student has the ability to apply his/her knowledge and understanding to develop and realise designs to meet defined and specified requirements.

Qualifications

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5): The student masters the essential knowledge and can apply the knowledge acquired in overall solutions.

Very good (4): The student masters the essential knowledge and can apply the knowledge.

Good (3): The student knows the common field devices and basics in locating, installation, documentation and hookup materials of those devices. The student can also choose and define field devices into basic processes.

Satisfactory (2): The student is familiar with the basic knowledge and terminology but more extensive field device engineering is challenging.

Adequate (1): The student identifies the basic knowledge and terminology but in the interpreting of the essential concepts the skills are still inadequate.
