Objective

The student is able to utilize the previously acquired knowledge in designing applications for health technology. The student knows the special features regarding the design of equipment for health technology use. The student is able to retrieve information on devices for health technology. The student is able to perform physical signal measurements on people.

Content

Special features in health technology equipment. Basics in human physiology for health technology measurements. Health technology measurements. Design and implementation of health technology measurement equipment or other health technology application.

Qualifications

Basics in Programming, Electronics, Embedded programming, Embedded Systems Design and Development.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent 5: The student masters responsible project work and its high quality documentation. The student can design and implement creatively a health technology application project as member in a team. The student is able to act in all roles of the project team and assess critically the team’s and his (her) own action and product.

Very good 4: The student masters responsible project work and its high quality documentation. The student is able to design and implement a health technology application project as member of a team. The student is able to act in most roles of the project team and assess the team’s and his (her) own action and product.

Good 3: The student masters project work and its documentation. The student is able to design and implement a health technology application project as member of a team. The student is able to act in his (her) own role in the project team and assess in outline his (her) own action and product.

Satisfactory 2: The student is able to work in a project and knows the basics of its documentation. The student can design and implement a moderately functional health technolgoy application project as member of a team. There are deficiencies in the student’s action in the project team. The student is able to assess the team’s and his (her) own action on the face of it.

Sufficient 1: The student knows the basics of project work and its documentation and is able to design and implement a health technology application project sufficiently in a team, however his (her) project work is is partly insufficient. The student is unable to assess himself (herself) critically.

Fail 0: The student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course.
