Objective

The student masters the fields of centralized management of corporation server network: concepts, structures, utilized technical implementation methods and the common infrastructure. In addition, the student masters the design principles of centralized management and is able to apply them to practice.

The course consists of the fields of centralized management of a corporation server network: concepts, structures, utilized technical implementation methods and the common infrastructure. In addition, the course discusses the design principles of centralized management and their application to practice.

Qualifications

The student needs to have completed his (her) professional studies in order to be able to participate in this course. The course includes theory of IT service management and practices, knowledge of various network technologies’ server operating systems and practical skills.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent 5: The student excellently masters the theory and design principles on centralized management of corporation service network. The student is able to design a demanding centralized management utilizing the theory and based on requirement definition, and implement the design in a corporation’s server network. The student is able to assess his (her) own design and implementation critically.

Very good 4: The student masters the theory and design principles on centralized management of corporation server network very well. The student is able to design centralized management utilizing the theory and based on requirement definition, and implement the design in a corporation’s server network. The student is able to assess his (her) own design and implementation from various points of view.

Good 3: The student masters the theory and design principles on centralized management of corporation server network in outline. Applying the theory the student is able to design centralized management and implement the design in server network. The student is able to assess his (her) own design and implementation in outline.

Satisfactory 2: The student masters the theory and design principles on centralized management of corporation server network superficially. The student is able to design and implement simple centralized management in server network. The student is able to only superficially assess his (her) own design and implementation.

Sufficient 1: The student is familiar with theory and design principles on centralized management of corporation server network superficially. The student is able to design and implement simple centralized management in server network. The student is able to assess his (her) own design and implementation without being capable of critical self-assessment.
