Student:
- is able to critically examine the history and theoretical development of mental health work
- has an understanding of legislation concerning mental health and substance abuse work
- is able to critically assess recommendations and programmes that guide mental health and substance abuse work
- is able to link the development of psychiatric care to the general historical framework

- Legislation, statutes guiding operations and socio-political guidelines

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The grading scale is 1 to 5. 5 (excellent), 4 (very good), 3 (good), 2 satisfactory, 1 (sufficient), 0 (fail).

Assessment is based on the relation of knowledge, skills and common qualifications with learning objectives (European Qualifications Framework NQF/EQF, level 7). The assessment criteria of the course can be found in online learning environment.
