Objective
Student:
- is able to critically assess and develop their own communication and interaction skills in the context of care relationships
- knows how to carry out the assessment of treatment needs and the planning and implementation of care in collaboration with the patient, the family and a multiprofessional team
- is capable of multiprofessional cooperation with the patient, the family and a network of professionals
- is capable of functioning independently as an expert in care work in multidisciplinary and multiprofessional cooperation
- has command of theoretical and research information in their field and uses it as a foundation for his or her activities
Content
- Communication skills and core competence in the management of care relationships
- Individual-oriented care work (cognitive therapy, dialogic and narrative approaches in the care relationship)
- Family- and network-oriented care work (multiprofessional cooperation, needs-based care work, open dialogue, psychological continuity, different forms of family therapy)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The grading scale is 1 to 5. 5 (excellent), 4 (very good), 3 (good), 2 satisfactory, 1 (sufficient), 0 (fail).
Assessment is based on the relation of knowledge, skills and common qualifications with learning objectives (European Qualifications Framework NQF/EQF, level 7). The assessment criteria of the course can be found in online learning environment.
