Objective

Objectives:
To understand the role, importance and scope of the team leader in self- and community-driven work communities.
You will learn how to recognise and use team building and interaction, and how to articulate the meaningfulness of work as part of a team's productive activities.
You will master participative management and leadership tools for work community development and problem solving.

Course content:

Trust, job meaning and team building (2 credits): learn how building trust and emphasising job meaning can improve your team's performance and cohesion.

Towards Community Leadership (2 credits): Delve into the principles of community leadership and learn how to lead your team towards shared goals and values.

Performance and development, working in a work community (1 credit).

You evaluate and analyse the role and significance of leadership in a team environment by applying key theoretical knowledge. You define the key concepts related to team management in relation to each other. You are able to utilise researched information. You evaluate the development of your own competence critically, comprehensively and diversely. You report in a clear, logically progressing whole. You show reflectivity in reflection. You are writing an argumentative factual style. You follow Jamk's reporting guidelines. You participate in joint online meetings where you share what you have learned with others.
Fail
You do not meet the level of approved competence.
