Objectives

The student knows the basic concepts of economics and is able to apply them in the examination of current micro and macro economics phenomena. The student is able to interpret the development of the Finnish economy and global economic phenomena, but also estimate their impacts on households’ and companies’ decision-making.

Evaluation criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

0 (Fail): The performance of the student will be evaluated with the grade fail if he/she cannot attain the minimum learning outcomes defined for the course.

1 (Sufficient): The student is able to manifest the command of the most essential basic concepts of economics.

2 (Satisfactory): The student is able to manifest the command of the most essential basic concepts of economics and he/she recognizes current phenomena in economics

Evaluation criteria, good (3-4)

3 (Good): The student is able to manifest the command of basic concepts of economics and he/she recognizes current phenomena in economics.

4 (Very Good): The student is able to manifest the command of basic concepts of economics and he/she recognizes current phenomena and the basic princples in economics.

Evaluation criteria, excellent (5)

5 (Excellent): The student is able to manifest the command of basic concepts of economics and the mastering of current phenomena in economics and understands the basic principles of economics.
