    Learning outcomes of the course
    The students knows what means responsible tourism destination and its management, how are the companies and other stakeholders involved in the tourism management ecosystem.
    The student recognizes the value of historic, geographic and cultural attractions, and services in tourism.
    The student knows how and why tourists make particular destination choices.
    The student identifies the strategic challenges and opportunities for tourism destinations.
    The student is able to conduct a research on a destination and networks, and make recommendations to practitioners.

    Assessment criteria - grade 1 and 2
    The general criteria of the competences that the Bachelor's Degrees awarded by Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences provide can be found on JAMK's web pages. The learning outcomes of individual courses are assessed in relation to the objectives of the course concerned. Assessment is based on knowledge, skills and competence in accordance with the National and European Qualifications Framework, level 6

    Assessment methods are based on learning objectives.
    A course accepted as completed is assessed on the following five-step scale:

    2 (Satisfactory) A student identifies different concepts and circumstances of tourism destination planning and value creation. The student demonstrates the stakeholder involvement in the ecosystem. A student is able to apply the knowledge into practice in creating a destination analysis and plan.

    1 (Sufficient) A student knows different concepts and circumstances of tourism destination planning and value creation. The student understands the stakeholder involvement in the ecosystem. A student is able to apply the knowledge into practice in creating a destination analysis and plan.

    If the student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course, the grade is 0 (Fail).
    Assessment criteria - grade 3 and 4
    3 (Good) You illustrate different concepts and circumstances of tourism in destination planning and value creation. You demonstrate responsible stakeholder involvement in the ecosystem. You are able to classify a destination analysis and plan both in research based theory and practice.

    4 (Very Good) You use different concepts and circumstances of tourism in destination planning and value creation. You distinguish the responsible stakeholder involvement in the ecosystem from the conflicted actors. You are able to defend your theory- and practice-based destination analysis and plan.
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    5 (Excellent) You can critically argue for the concepts and circumstances used in responsible tourism destination planning and value creation. You can design with arguments the stakeholder involvement being more responsible in the ecosystem. You are able to create a critical and innovative approach in your theory- and practice-based destination analysis and plan.
