Objectives

The student knows developmental needs related to occupational therapy and community/enterpreneuship/networks.
The student is able to develop practises /services (e.g. related to technology) taking into account cost-effectiveness, resources, ethical perspectives and current research. The student understands the need for continuous assessment and development of occupational therapy services and is able to work proactively and innovatively. Student knows the role of an occupational therapist as one part of a multiprofessional developmental project.
Student recognizes the entepreneurship as a possibility for an occupational therapis and knows the skills and characteristics demanded.

Teaching methods

Online lectures, webinars, assignments, developmental work, online workshops. The course suits for face-to-face students and for distant-students.
The course does not demand any visits at campus. Online learning is possible.

Practical training and working life connections

A developmental assignment related to work of an occupational therapist will be done during the course.

Online lectures, webinars and online workshops 1 ects. Assignments and developmental work 2 ects. Student´s workload all together 81h = 3 ects

Evaluation criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The grading scale is pass(s) / fail. The grade is 0 (Fail), if the student fails to achieve the objectives set for the course.
Pass: The student knows enterpreneuship in occupational therapy and is enable to show his/kher knowledge for example in dialogue sessions. The student chooses development project which is relevant to occupational therapy. The studetn is able to acquire and estimate information, and share it with others to complete the development assignment. The student masters the phases of development and is able to apply them.
He/she is able to carry out a development task in cooperation relevant partners, applying suitable development methods.
He/she shows initiative and is able to solve task related problems in cooperation with partners.
He/she is capable of written and oral communication about the plan, implementation and evaluation of his/her development task.
