Objective

The students understand the principle of automation systems, the advantages and disadvantages of different implementations and their significance as part of the materials handling system. The students can also design simplier systems and give the necessary information to designers of larger systems.

Content

The main contents include:
- Sensors and controlling of automation systems.
- Applications and selections criteria of technology
- Automatic storage systems
- Identification, tracking and tracing technologies

Student workload
