Objective
The utilization of automation plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of intra logistics. The automation market is expected to triple in the logistics sector between 2020 and 2027. After completing this course, you will understand the application areas of technologies used in automated intra logistics and be able to choose the most suitable technologies for a given purpose. You will be able to compare solution models using simulation and understand the processes to which automation is applicable. Additionally, you will be capable of working as a team member, participating in learning tasks and reporting, and independently seeking relevant materials.
Knowledge and understanding:
You can independently search for reliable materials for a given task. You are familiar with the most common technologies used in internal logistics automation and their applications.
Engineering practice:
You can design an automation system for the needs of internal logistics and use simulation programs to assist in system design and efficiency analysis.
Communication and team-working:
You can create a concise presentation of your design work and collaborate effectively as a team member.
Content
In this course you'll study
- Technologies used in automizing internal logistics
- Automatic storage and retrieval systems
- Simulation of automation systems
Oppimateriaali ja suositeltava kirjallisuus
Oppimateriaalit ovat saatavilla oppimisympäristössä.
Teaching methods
Opintojakso sisältää luentoja (8h), ryhmätöitä, vertaisoppimista ja itsenäisiä tehtäviä.
Exam schedules
Arviointi suoritetaan harjoitustöiden ja oppimistehtävien perusteella. Opintojaksolla ei ole tenttiä.
Vaihtoehtoiset suoritustavat
Hyväksilukemisen menettelytavat kuvataan tutkintosäännössä ja opinto-oppaassa. Opintojakson opettaja antaa lisätietoa mahdollisista opntojakson erityiskäytänteistä.
Student workload
Yksi opintopiste tarkoittaa laskennallisesti keskimäärin 27 tunnin työtä eli viiden opintopisteen opintojakson kuormitus on noin 135 h. Kuormitus jakautuu eri tavoin opintojakson toteutustavasta riippuen.
