Objectives

The student
- understands the key concepts of health economics and the basic premises of theoretical thinking in micro and macroeconomic levels
- masters some of the current discourse and trends connected to the health economic and policy in social and health care
- are able to analyze typical resource allocation problems involving social and health care
- has mastered different types of health economic evaluations
- has mastered the basics of cost-effectiveness analysis
- learns how to consider medical and/or ethical issues in financial decision-making

Sufficient 1
The student knows the basic concepts and methods of health economics, guidance and follow-up. The student understands the basic mechanisms of health economic evaluation. The student knows some of the health economic indicators.

Satisfactory 2
The student is able to apply the basic concepts and methods of health economics, planning, guidance and follow-up in their work. The student is able to implement health economic evaluation. The student applies the health economic indicators for his/her work.

Evaluation criteria, good (3-4)

Good 3
Students master the basic concepts and methods of health economics, planning, guidance and follow-up and apply them in practical leadership. The student is in charge of health economic evaluation. The student analyzes key health economic indicators and understands their connection to evaluate the effectiveness of their operations.

Very good 4
Students master the basic concepts and methods of health economics, planning, guidance and follow-up and are able to create plans based on them. The student is in charge of health economic evaluation. The student analyzes key health economic indicators and understands their connection to evaluate the effectiveness of their operations
