    Purpose of the course
    The aim of the course is to learn about prevention, nursing care and support of individual self-care for patients with internal and cancer diseases.

    Learning outcomes of the course
    After completing this course, you are aware of the key risk factors for internal and oncological diseases at global level. You acquire the knowledge for resource-based and evidence-based prevention in internal diseases and cancer care. You understand the nursing process of patients with internal and oncological diseases, as well as related patient safety matters. You learn about the nursing care methods for the above mentioned patient groups. You familiarize yourself with the basics of radiation safety and get acquainted with most common radiological examinations.
    Prerequisites and co-requisites
    You master basics of nursing and health promotion competence.

    You are aware of the healthy lifestyle choice and you recognize the risk factors of the most common internal and cancer diseases at global level. You can name and describe superficially the most common evidence-based nursing care methods for patients with internal and oncological diseases. You master the key knowledge base for patient safety in the care of patients with internal and oncological diseases. You know the basics of radiation safety.

    Satisfactory 2
    You know the impact of lifestyle choices on health and you understand the risk factors of the most common internal and cancer diseases at global level. You can name and describe the most common evidence-based nursing care methods for patients with internal and oncological diseases. You master the key knowledge base for patient safety in the care of patients with internal and oncological diseases. You know the basics of radiation safety.
    Assessment criteria - grade 3 and 4
    Good 3
    You are able to justify the importance of healthy lifestyle and you understand the risk factors of the most common internal and cancer diseases at global level. You are able to distinguish evidence-based information in the decision making process, prevention and care of patients with public health problems internal and oncological diseases. You master the key knowledge base for patient safety in the care of patients with internal and oncological diseases. You know the basics of radiation safety and know how to guide the patient in relation to radiological examinations.

    You are able to justify the importance of a healthy lifestyle and you have very good knowledge and understanding of the risk factors of the most common internal and cancer diseases at global level. You are able to organize evidence-based information in the decision making process, prevention and care of patients with public health problems. You are able to summarize health outcomes in planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients with public health problems. You master the key knowledge base for patient safety in the care of patients with internal and oncological diseases. You know the basics of radiation safety and know how to guide the patient in relation to radiological examinations.

    You have extensive knowledge and understanding of the impact of healthy lifestyle choices and you can assess the risk factors of the most common internal and cancer diseases at global level.
