Objective

To know how to adapt physical education for the elderly and people with physical disability, visual impairment, overweight, mental health and abused problems
To learn to instruct physical activity for older people. Is able to communicate on English in multicultural studentgroup.

Content

Theoretical and practical basics of adapted physical activation, focus on Elderly and people with impairments
Exercises, methods and practice for instructing functional group activity with diverse client groups

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass criteria: The student has competence to plan and instruct physical activity for older people / people. The student knows basics of adapted physical education for people with physical disability, visual impairment, overweight, mental health and abuse problems. The student is willing of developing his/her adapted physical counselling skills in client work. S/he can critically reflect his/her own actions and work and also give constructive feedback to fellow students in English language. The student participates the sessions, takes responsibility for the groups sessions and return the written assignments as agreed.

- participate in 4 sessions (includes two different sessions of which twice as an instructor and twice as an observer) - plan the session together with your group and to the return box (group plans) before the session - reflect together with your group after the session and make a short summary and return it to optima return box (group plans)
Learning outcomes of the assignments 1-2:
- to learn how to plan and organize and instruct group activities to clients - to assess and reflect your own and other students counseling session - - focus in the special needs of the group
Task 3 : visiting any adapted physical group connected the group case
Learning outcomes of the assignments 3:
- to get more physical activity knowledge to the physiotherapy group case
