Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Excellent (5) and very good (4):
- The student takes actively part in the teaching. He/she independently assumes responsibility for his/her own actions and follows the agreed operating practices. In the task of observing play, he/she is able to link issues that have been learnt and use concepts in an analytical manner. He/she discusses the outcome of the observation and the themes presented during the course with careful justifications, using sources that are relevant to the theme. The assignment is presented in an illustrative and well-structured manner.
Good (3)
- The student takes actively part in the teaching. He/she independently assumes responsibility for his/her own actions and follows the agreed operating practices. In the task of observing play, he/she discusses the outcome of observation and essential issues relevant to the course and is familiar with the concepts he/she uses. In the assignment, he/she strives to justify the aspects that have been brought up using appropriate sources. The use of sources is more limited. The presentation is illustrative and clear.
Satisfactory, adequate (2-1)
- The student takes actively part in the teaching. In the task of observing play, he/she picks up appropriate but random aspects and observations. Either a small number of sources, or outdated or secondary sources are used for the assignment. The whole is not logical. The presentation is disjoint and it lacks a "plot".
Fail (0)
- The student's participation is negligible. There are clear shortcomings in the task of observing play, for example in the use of sources, and inaccuracies in the aspects and observations presented. The presentation is unfinished.
Qualifications
The students are familiar with children's development phases.
