Objective

Student masters the central clinical nursing skills and procedures and related basic technologies taking into account patient safety. Student is able to reason decisions they have made.

Content

Monitoring and maintenance of vital functions, clinical nursing interventions, taking samples from a patient, patient´s self care follow up and guidance. Medical calculations are done before practice in the hospital.

Pass: In the skill test student shows that he/she can apply clinical nursing skills and methods and can use related basic technology taking into account patient safety. Student is able to make evidence-based decisions.

Qualifications

Students master the basic information, the core concepts and methods of the operating environment and clienthood of the social and health care customer. Students master the health promotion and preventive care aims, methods and patient education. Student knows the basis of evidence-based decision-making.
