Objective

The students know the basics of production planning and management as well as production control. The students know the challenges and possibilities of information systems in production logistics.

Content

Basics of production, production control, production systems, information systems in production control, BOM, networking, quality thinking, packing, production cost accounting.

Completion alternatives

Project work including report, calculations and presentations. Groups will do self evaluation of it's members work load.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Sufficient (1) The student knows the basics and has basic idea how to apply their knowledge according to the objectives. Student’s activity has been irregular during the instruction.

Project work and its results will be presented and evaluated.

Satisfactory (2) The student knows the basics and understands how to apply their knowledge according to the objectives. Student’s activity has been irregular during the instruction.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (4) The student has attained a good level in the objectives. Activity during the instruction has been mostly regular. The student can apply the learning objectives showing understanding of the phenomenas of production logistic.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent (5) The student have attained an excellent level in the objectives and can apply them showing constructive criticism and understanding of the studied phenomenas. l In addition, the student has shown active participation during the instruction and laboratory work.

Qualifications

The students are able to understand company operations and its logistic process and they are able to find information independently and produce reports.
