Objective

The student understands the rehabilitation processes and forms of different communities and groups. The student has readiness to observe and assess the factors causing the need for rehabilitation at the community and population level. The student understands the main principles of community rehabilitation. The students understand how environment affects family members´ well-being through rehabilitation. The student has readiness to assess accessibility of home and workplace. The students understand the principles of family-centered work and cultural impact on the rehabilitation.

Content

Community-level planning tools and assessment indicators. The accessibility assessment methods. The assessment of the need for rehabilitation and rehabilitation of different communities (e.g. the unemployed and socially excluded). Community rehabilitation. Inclusion. Family-oriented rehabilitation.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student understands and is able to assess the factors causing the need for rehabilitation and rehabilitation possibilities at the community level. The student knows the central concepts, approaches and demonstration-based methods of family and community rehabilitation. The student is able to assess accessibility of home and workplace. The student is able to analyse and apply national and international new information in the learning tasks and present the information in a clear and structured manner and to combine facts with consistent reasoning.

Qualifications

The student is able to assess the factors causing the need for rehabilitation at the individual level. The student is able to plan and instruct the individual rehabilitation processes of the rehabilitation client.
