Objective
Planning production management gives you a good basis to act as a large-scale developer of a company capable of combining technology, economics and management skills.
You will learn to understand satisfactorily the operation of large-scale supply chains and service networks, as well as learn to connect economic, cost and profitability perspectives to the same context.
Engineering practice:
You are able to analyze complex production processes and interpret the results of such analyses, and you are able to choose suitable methods for developing the production process.
Multidisciplinary competences:
Get an understanding of the broader cross-sectoral context in the field of technology as you gain financial and management skills and learn how to combine them with technical expertise to develop your business holistically.
Content
Business processes, basics of the management and leadership. Production targets, production methods, their constituents and the model for developing production in an individual enterprise or network. Services, service strategy, service development, managing capacity and demand, managing waiting times, queue models and capacity planning.

The overall assessment is based on the project work.
To get a numerical grade, you need to take a supervised exam.
In the nearest implementation, the test is mandatory. The exams are arranged three times in accordance with the degree rules.
Adequate (1): You know the basics and terminology of production management, but you have significant flaws in understanding key methods and development tools and related thinking.
Satisfactory (2): You know the basics and terminology of production management, but you have shortcomings in the application of key problem-solving techniques and related thinking.

Good (3): You master the key issues of the course:
- is familiar with the concepts and basic methods of production management and is able to make satisfactorily justified choices for managing production
Very good (4): You master the concepts and basic methods of production management and are able to apply them critically when solving problems in production management, e.g. in the management of production. factory design.
