Objective
The student understands how culture can be a potential resource for managers in international business management, and in what ways cultural synergies may facilitate international business success. The student understands how traditional views toward and ways of dealing with aspects related to culture’s influences can be limiting factors in international business. Conversely, by taking this course the student is able to understand how managing cultural similarities and leveraging culturally-based knowledge can release creativity and innovation in today's international business firm.
Content
Cross-cultural management, knowledge management, organisational learning, and case study development and use.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Students are primarily assessed based on active attendance, project completion, and written assignments that support support learning.
Qualifications
HIBC3100 (Intercultural Communication in Business Contexts) or equivalent is strongly recommended.
