Objective

The student
- knows different human conceptions and understands the values of social- and health care as well as professional ethical principles as basis of all actions
- is familiar with the stages of human growth and development (physical, psycho social and cognitive) in respect of life course and understands their significance in working with the clients
- knows the legislation in social and health care regarding clients’/patients’ rights and their status.
- knows the principles of creating cooperation and dialogue as well as inclusion in a goal-oriented and empowering way

- Stages of human growth and development
- Legislation in social and health care regarding clients’/patients’ rights and status
- Client orientation and principles of client oriented work; diversity of clienthood

Pass (S)
The student
• reflects different human conceptions in the assignments and learning diary
• is able to apply the values of social- and health care and professional ethical principles in the assignments and activities/performance
• masters essential stages of human growth and development (physical, psycho social and cognitive) and demonstrates his/her understanding of their significance in encountering different kinds of clients. Student knows the essential content of legislation concerning clients’/patients’ rights and status
• understands the concept of client orientation and principles of client oriented work in encountering different kinds of clients and families
• knows the principles of creating cooperation and dialogue as well as inclusion in a goal-oriented and empowering way
• is able to apply these principles in groups.
