Objective

The students can define, in a reasonable way, the dimensioning and structural requirements of optimal equipment suitable for a transport considering an effective and economical use and they can define the necessary auxiliary devices and accessories.

Student workload

One credit corresponds to an average of 27 hours of work, which means that the work load of five credits is approximately 135 hours. The work load is distributed in different ways depending on the course implementation.

Excellent (5): Student masters all the things described in the learning objectives and is able to apply the skills he / she has learned in practical situations in an innovative manner.

Qualifications

The students know the basics of mechanics and they are familiar with the behavior and characteristics of the most common structural materials and they are able to analyze mechanical systems. They know also the operation principles of the common systems in road transports and how to utilize their possibilities and behavior from the user’s viewpoint.
