Objective
The students are able to produce a thesis related to their own area of expertise, which develops themselves, the work community and the field. They master a critical investigative approach and are able to work independently and in a goal-oriented way when implementing concrete research or development projects in working life. The students are able to communicate both orally and in writing the results and utilisation possibilities of their research or development projects to various actors.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The thesis is evaluated summatively following its completion and presentation, on a five-point scale according to thesis-specific criteria: 5 (Excellent), 4 (Very good), 3 (Good), 2 (Satisfactory) and 1 (Adequate). The evaluation criteria for the thesis are published on the jamk.fi/en Web site.
Qualifications
Sufficient familiarity with one's own professional field and research and development methods. The student has successfully compiled an approved thesis plan and theoretical framework.
