Pass/Fail

Objective

The student knows and understands different representations of geometric primitives studied in the course. They identify their implementations and can apply them to their own field. The student understands the principles of various geometrical tests and methods and is able to assess their functionality.

Content

Different representations of a line, a plane, second-degree curves, a sphere, a triangle and a prism in 2 and 3 dimensions. Distance from a point to a line and a plane, closest point on a line, on a plane, on a circle/sphere. Intersection and collision methods

Location and time

Course is implemented between 26.10- 18.12.

Materials

Materials in the e-learning environment.

Teaching methods

- videolectures
- independent study

Exam schedules

Date and method of the exam will be announced in the course opening.

Completion alternatives

The admission procedures are described in the degree rule and the study guide. The teacher of the course will give you more information on possible specific course practices.

Student workload

One credit (1 Cr) corresponds to an average of 27 hours of work.

- independent study 78 h
- exam 3 h
Total 81 h

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass: The student demonstrates their understanding of the various presentations and uses of the geometric primitives with an exam.

The assessment is based on the exam and exercises.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
