Pass/Fail

Objective

The students command the main accompanying patterns and plucking styles and chord symbols of acoustic guitar.
They command the accompanying in five string kantele, accompanying and plucking, melodic playing and the traditional styles' new playing methods and techniques. They know
Kalevala's song and music traditions and minstrel basics.
The students command percussion instruments basics in such way that are able to use such instruments in teaching.

Content

The basics of acoustic guitar: the guitar as accompanying instrument (basic accompanying patterns and plucking styles and chord symbols).

Opintojaksolla erikseen sovittu materiaali.

Teaching methods

Osallistut kontaktiopetukseen johon sisältyy akustisen kitaran- ja viisikielisen kanteleensoiton perusteita sekä djembé- ja cajónrummun perussoittotekniikat ja rytmiharjoituksia..

Harjoittelet ja suoritat annetut tehtävät.
Opintojakson materiaalit ja tehtävät ovat verkko-oppimisympäristössä, jonne palautat myös kaikki tekemäsi tehtävät.

Student workload

Osallistut kontaktiopetukseen 40 h.
Harjoittelet ja soittoläksysi 50 h.
Teet annetut tehtävät, harjoitukset ja osoitat oppimaasi ko. instrumentilla 45 h.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass (S):
The students show their command of acoustic guitar, five string kantele and percussion instruments to such extent that they are able to use them in teaching.
The students are capable of self-evaluation and develop their own musical skills and readiness for further learning.

Fail (0) The students do not fulfill the above mentioned criteria
