Objective

The students can build WWW applications which consists of user interface, application logic, data store and media elements. The students understand the special requirements set by WWW and HTTP protocol in application development. The students understand the basic principles of usability related to the operation of a WWW application.

Student workload

220 hours. Contact lectures 50 hours, exercises 170 hours.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

o Excellent (5): The students can creatively apply the things learnt during the course. They can implement a rather extensive, versatile and structurally working WWW application. They can extend and deepen their www-programming knowledge independently.
o Good (3-4):The students can apply the things presented during the course in an expedient and goal-oriented way. They can implement a WWW application in which the structural parts consist of frameworks, subprogram libraries or classes.
o Satisfactory (1-2): The students demonstrate mastery of the basics of WWW application development and can create a simple WWW application. The students understand the basic principles of the usability of WWW application.
