Content scheduling

Tutoring sessions will be scheduled separately by thesis supervisors.

Objective

Intellectual skills 1 (IS1): The student is able to gather, analyze and evaluate business data and information and transform empirical data into useful and actionable information.
Intellectual skills 2 (IS2): The student is able to interpret and analyze complext business issues from multiple perspectives and critically review academic literature and other relevant information sources.

Content

Content of the project will be determined based on the thesis topic of each student individually.

Literature related to your thesis topic.

Teaching methods

Blended model.

Face-to-face learning: tutoring sessions with the supervisor.
Virtual learning: Conducting the research.

The research project aims to develop the working life.

Exam schedules

There is no exam.
Students present their research outcomes to their thesis supervisors.

The applied research projects can have international connections.

Completion alternatives

You have the right to apply for recognition of your studies if you have prior learning (e.g. university studies completed elsewhere) that can be accredited towards the degree you are currently completing.

The recognition of prior learning is possible in three primary ways: accreditation (replacement or inclusion), recognition of informal learning and studification. More precise info: JAMK Degree Regulations, section 17.

Writing project report 35 hours

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The project outcome is a report and presentation, which are assessed based on the intended learning outcomes IS1 and IS2.
