Objective

The students are able to design the electrification of an industrial process. They know the issues to be taken into consideration in purchasing plans. They are able to design and draw main diagrams and placement and cabling schemes. They are able to design the grounding arrangement and potential equalisation of a system. Apart from process electrification, the students are able to design lighting, auxiliary systems, safety systems, heat tracing for safety systems, and instrumentation electrification.

TSASO – Design competence
The student knows the methods and tools of hardware and software design in electrification.
The student is able to dimension and select machines and components using techno-economic principles.

TSASV – Competence in electric power systems
The student has the knowledge of the general network of electricity distribution and buildings’ electrical network.
The student is able to size the components for network of electricity distribution and buildings’ electrical network.
The student has the knowledge of the protection and operation supervision of machines and devices of electricity distribution and electric systems.

EA-EE: Engineering design
The student has an understanding of design methodologies and an ability to use them.

EA-TR: Transferable skills
The student is able to function effectively as individual and as member of a team.
