Pass/Fail
Objective
The student is familiar with the technical documentation practices and can manage CAD drawing basics. The student has an understanding of the CAD design methods and the ability to apply them to the core studies.
EA-EE Engineering
The student is able to read already drawn documents and can produce some technical documentation. The student is able to produce and edit CAD drawings as well as to understand the importance of revisions, and programming in the field of technical documentation.
TSAST: Electricity and other basic skills
The student has basic skills of technical documentation and CAD drawing, including basic drawing, basic editing, layers, blocks, and reference images.

Teaching methods
Teknisessä dokumentoinnissa luonteenomaista on, että tekijä joutuu ratkomaan paljon eri tasoisia kuvan tuottamiseen liittyviä ongelmia ja tekemään työskentelyn yksityiskohtien osalta jatkuvasti päätöksiä. Tämän vuoksi oppimismenetelmänä käytetään ongelmaperustaista oppimista. Konkreettisesti oppiminen tapahtuu itsenäisesti suoritettavien ja palautettavien oppimistehtävien kautta. Oppimistehtävien suorittamista ohjataan video-ohjeistuksilla sekä kontaktitunneilla.

Assessment criteria, good (3)
Good (3): The student:
- knows the issues to be taken into consideration in technical documentation
- is able to draw technical documentation using CAD software and understands practices of the technical documentation
- is able to use CAD software for basic drawing and basic editing, can also use layers and reference images
- is able to design CAD blocks and some CAD programming
Very good (4): The student masters the essential knowledge of technical documentation and can apply the knowledge.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Excellent (5): The student masters the essential knowledge of technical documentation and can apply the knowledge acquired in a creative and innovative manner.
