The internship is completed during the growing season in the early years of studies.
Objective
The students can perform the central farm tasks (versatilely) within their chosen line of production either in Finland or abroad. They comply with the agreed-upon working hours and work safely. They adapt to the rules of working life.

Teaching methods
The internship is based on the personal goals you set for your own learning, which you describe to the internship supervisor before the internship. The purpose of the internship is to support your own development of agrological skills.
You can start the training an individual according to the schedule after the training has been approved plan and placement agreement is drawn up between all three parties. In order of reading, the time for practice has been prepared for summer 2021.
You complete the internship in accordance with the internship agreement. After the internship, you will have a feedback discussion with your responsible trainer. The internship should be considered as an hourly record of the work done. To evaluate your own learning, it is a good idea to keep a learning diary.

It is possible to do an internship abroad if it is appropriate given your learning goals.
Completion alternatives
You will acquire the skills of this course by planning, implementing and evaluating a ten-week internship based on your personal goals in a workplace that is unfamiliar to you. The internship should support and develop your agrological skills.

The course corresponds to 405 hours of work, which is divided as follows:

The assessment is based on how much guidance the student needs with regard to initiative, willingness to learn new skills and mastery of social skills.
