Objective

The student knows some software tools for electrical engineering and is able to use software know-how in the future core studies.

TSASO-Design competence

The student knows some designing software tools in the field of electrical engineering and is able to produce standardized documentation.

EA-EE: Engineering design

The student is able to apply knowledge and understanding to develop and release designs to meet defined and specified requirements. The student knows design methods and software tools and is able to use them in the field of electrical engineering.

Teaching methods

Problem-based learning is used as a learning method. Learning takes place through independently performed and returned learning tasks. The completion of learning tasks is guided during contact lessons or by video instructions.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

In order to achieve approved performance, the student must demonstrate that he/she manages basic skills of software tools at the level required by studies and working life. The student must be able to develop their own software know-how.

The student’s skills are assessed on the basis of the final exam and assignments.

Further information

Self-assessments are mainly done through learning tasks. The assessment decision is based on the learning tasks and the skills demonstrated in the seminar work.
