Objective

The student masters the mathematical modeling and simulation of dynamical systems. He is able to apply these skills in electrical engineering, control engineering and mechatronics.

EA-KN EUR-ACE Knowledge and understanding: The students understand the principles of mathematical modeling in their own field of expertise.

EA-EN EUR-ACE Technical analysis: The students are able to apply the modeling techniques to practical engineering problems.

Content

Differential equations and their analytical and numerical solutions, the modeling and simulation of dynamical systems, integral transforms and applications in electrical and control engineering.

Excellent 5: The student masters the mathematical modeling of dynamical systems and he is able to creatively apply his skills to new application areas.

Very good 4: The student masters the mathematical modeling of dynamical systems and he is able to apply his skills to the application areas covered during the course.

Good 3: The student masters the basics of mathematical modeling of dynamical systems and he is able to solve basic engineering applications.

Satisfactory 2: The student masters the basic concepts of mathematical modeling of dynamical systems but he has trouble with applications.

Adequate 1: The student is familiar with the basic concepts of mathematical modeling of dynamical systems but he has significant problems with applications.
