Tutustutaan antureiden ja toimilaitteiden asennustekniikkaan ja niiden rooliin osana automaatiosuunnitteluprojektia.
Content
Control valves and their selection and dimensioning. The placing of field equipment into a process. The installing principles of field equipment and the accessories used in installation. Cabling principles and the feeding of auxiliary energy.

Teaching methods
The automation engineering entities is inherently problem-oriented and therefore it is also used as a learning method. Concretely, it is done through contact hours, returnable exercises and independent work.
Exam schedules
The near exam is at the time announced in Moodle and two retakes.

Student workload
Lectures 16 h, Tutorial lessons 4 h, independent work 34 h, a total of 54 hours of learning work.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Välttävä (1): The student recognizes the basics and terminology, but there is difficulties in understanding them.
Tyydyttävä (2): The student knows the basic terminology, but there is some difficulties in independent field device engineering.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Good (3): The student knows the most common field devices and basics about installation, documentation and mounting materials. Student understands the methods in choosing and dimensioning of field devices.
Very Good (4): Student masters the key topics and can apply them.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Excellent (5): Student masters the key topics and can apply them. Student masters many alternative solutions into instrumentation.

Self-assessment takes place mainly through learning tasks. The assessment decision is based 100% on the competence shown in the exam.
