Objective
The student masters modelling. The student is able to model simple models and assemblies and make workshop drawings from 3D models.
EA-EE: EUR-ACE Engineering design / TKNSU: Competence in design:
The student is able to model the items of their choice in 3D and produce unambiguous 2D drawings of them based on mechanical drawing standards.
YHTVI: Communication skills: Students are able to attach drawings and technical documents to their assignments and theses.
Content
3D modeling with Vertex G4. Hierarchy of features and hierarchy of configurations. Creating drawings from the model.
Materials
The study material has been published on the Moodle learning platform, where you can find video materials in Finnish.
Teaching methods
The course is studied independently. The use of the modeling program and the learning assignments are instructed by videos. Learning assignments are returned to the learning platform.
Student workload
Independent studying 27 h.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
Student is able to model the given assignments and make satisfactory workshop drawings based on them. Returned learning assignments.

Basics of mechanical drawing and CAD.
