Objective
In Jamk InnoFlash, you as a part of a multidisclipinary team, design user oriented solutions for real challenges in working life. You will be able to use the innovation, design and solution tools of the course in your working life and other studies. Future Factory project studies are based on these methods.
After accomplishing Jamk InnoFlash, you know the basics and phases of customer oriented design method in problem solving. You are able to apply the customer oriented design method into practice, to act as an active member of a development team in different phases of the process, and to share the result of the work of your development team. You will be able to reflect the development of your own competences and to support the development of the competences of the members of your team.
Content
In Jamk InnoFlash, you as a part of a multidisclipinary team, design user oriented solutions for real challenges in working life. In the course, you apply a user oriented thinking and method, on which you and your team create concepts with added value for the customer.
You test the solution concept with potential customers and present it to the client.
During this studying process, you practice to critically examine and evaluate your actions and the development of your skills and knowledge.
Location and time
The contact learning week takes place on week 16/2023, which is 19.-21.4.2023. On this week, you have to take part in coaching and teamworking every day at 8.30-16.00. Before the contact learning week, you have independent study tasks, and after the week, you have independent reflecting tasks.

Teaching methods
The learning takes place by using the user-oriented design method. Before teamworking period, you explore the method, and in your team, you use the method when you create a customer-oriented solution to an assignment of a client.
Employer connections
The assignments of the course come from companies and development projects.
Exam schedules
No final exam is arranged on this course, the accomplishment is based on both independent and team study tasks.
Completion alternatives
The course takes place four times a year: both online course and contact course once in autumn semester and once in spring semester. These courses can have English speaking groups.
Student workload
Contact course:
- Independent study tasks before the teamworking period 10 hours
- Taking part in contact study week and study tasks as a team member 40 hours. Contact studies take place during one week, and no other teaching is arranged at the same time. It is obligatory to take part in the contact study week daily.
- Independent study tasks after the teamworking period 4 hours

After completing this course, you will have learned:
