Objective
Object of the course:
The knowledge and skills you get on this course you will need in order to be able to design load-bearing steel structures for demanding grade buildings, as well as you know the essential quality requirements for the manufacture and installation of steel structures.
Course competences:

The learning objectives of the course:
You know how to design and dimension load-bearing steel structures in an ultimate-limit and service-limit state. You know how to dimension multi-axis loaded joints and tube beam trusses. You know how to fireproof the steel structures and take into account how to prevent the continuous collapse of buildings. You can take into account the qualitative requirements of the manufacture and installation of steel structures.
These are also the basic tasks of the course.

Teräsrakenteiden suunnittelu ja mitoitus, Eurocode 3 -oppikirja, Teräsrakenneyhdistys; Hitsatut profiilit-käsikirja, Ruukki; muu luennoilla mainittava materiaali
SFS EN 1090-2 Muu opintojakson yhteydessä esitettävä materiaali (esim. mallidokumentit).
Teaching methods
Toteutetaan SeAMK :n järjestämänä opetuksena Martti Perälä.

Excellent ( 5 ): In addition to previous skills, the student shows deep knowledge of course contents as well as ability to parse and wider analyze the influences of solutions.
