Purpose of the course

In this course you will learn the basics of vaccination competence.

Outcomes

After completing this course, you understand the importance of vaccination and the ethical principles of the individual, the community and society.

You understand the importance of vaccination worldwide as a health-promoting activity.

You will have the capacity for evidence-based guidance and counseling on vaccinations.

You are be familiar with the vaccine preventable diseases, the national vaccination program and the adverse effects of vaccinations.

You can aseptically and safely vaccinate under supervision

Effectiveness of vaccinations

Vaccination activities governed by laws and regulations

Location and time

The course is conducted in Moodle and is part of a nationwide training program.

Vaccination portfolio and two repetitions during the course.

Vaccination e-learning 2 ECTS, including webinar 2 hours, independent learning 50hours, one skill lab of 2hours. = Total 54hours

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved completion requires the completion of a course in National Vaccine Knowledge in accordance with separate criteria developed by the implementer.
