Objective
In the course, you will learn different ways of utilizing an information model, and after completing the course, the student will be able to work in an information model-based building project. The student understands the roles, tasks, responsibilities and obligations of the different actors in an building information modeling project.
The student is able to determine the content of the data model taking into account the valid national data model requirements (YTV).
Content
- Introduction to information modeling in the built environment
- Presentation of the benefits and opportunities of information modeling
- data modeling requirements, guidelines and concepts
- General information model requirements
- the progress of the information modeled project
- creation of information content in design programs
- data model based data transmission (IFC)
- basics of using coordination software
- basic quantity calculation tasks
- ordering a data model project
- the use of information models in designing
- the use of information models in construction (site)
- includes the determination of the information content of the data model from the subscriber's point of view
- coordination aspects related to the management of the information modeling task.
Materials
- Yleiset tietomallivaatimukset (YTV)
- ohjelmistovalmistajien ohjemateriaali
- muu opintojakson verkkoalustalla jaettava materiaali

Arviointimenetelmät:
- Kurssikoe tai uusintatentti, jossa hyväksytyn raja 50%
- Oppimistehtäväpaketti josta hyväksytyn raja 70%
- Jatkuva näyttö
- Itsearviointi
Arviointi on osaamistavoitteisiin pohjautuvaa, laadullista ja kriteeriperusteista. Opiskelijan itsearvioinnilla on tärkeä rooli arvioinnissa.
