Content scheduling

During the course, online lessons, independent study, group work and group discussions will alternate. Additionally, personal learning assignments and personal essay will be completed throughout the duration of the course.

Objective

The object of the course
The object of the course is that you understand the significance of supervisory work and team leadership as success factors in organizations and are able to develop team leadership.

Course competences
Business competence: The student knows the central theories related to this specialisation option.
Learning to learn: Student also takes responsibility for group learning and sharing what has been learned.
Operating in a workplace: Student is able to work constructively in a work community and promotes their own and their work community’s wellbeing.
Ethics: Student is able to take responsibility for their own actions and their consequences and reflects on them in ac-cordance with the ethical principles and values on their field. Student takes others into account and promotes equality and non-discrimination.

You recognize the areas of supervisory work comprehensively from different perspectives and understand the position and responsibility of a supervisor as well as the impact of supervisory work on the work community. You understand the impact of supervisory work and team leadership on work productivity and well-being at work. You are able to describe your own view of human and your own leadership style. You are able to take responsibility for your own actions and take others into account and share what you have learned in group work during the course. You are able to create illustrative documents related to the course contents.

The grade for the course is based on the competence shown in the personal essay and in the group work related to the everyday life of the manager.

Exam schedules
