Objective
Purpose of the course
After studying this course, you will be able to choose suitable machine tools that can be used to implement the production objectives of an agricultural company. You will also be able to observe in practical conditions the quantities that are essential for field farming and livestock management and to identify distractions.

Biomass-growing technology; soil preparation, sowing, plant preservation, harvesting and storage machinery and equipment
Biomass-processing technologies without animals
Biommass processing technologies using animals
Measurement technology related to biomass-growing and refining under field conditions

Teaching methods
This course is targeted to part-time students.
Studying is based on lectures, independent learning from materials, practical trials and gaining information from a study trip.
This course uses Moodle as a learning platform. Student receive a feedback from all study assignments (couple, group or individual).
Employer connections
The course includes a study trip (tentatively at the beginning of October) and getting familiar with business within the theme.
Exam schedules
Course exam at the end of the course. The course will be completed with assignments, portfolio about farm machinery and this final exam.
Completion alternatives
The course or part of it can be completed on the basis of previous competence or by studying in working life.
Student workload
The course covers 135 hours of student work. From those hours, 32 h are contact lessons, 52 h different assignments and 51 h independent studying.
